Saddle advice

Always a tricky one to give advice for really but thought I'd pick your brains on it anyway. I've currently got a Gobi XM, as fitted to my Giant Trance x3 ( best bike I've ever owned btw ) and after 600 miles, I'm calling it quits. It literally tears my arse to pieces, even with padded shorts and chamois cream. Any advice on which saddle to replace it with ? Also, unsurprisingly, the aforementioned Gobi xm saddle ( and Gobi tailpack ) will be up for sale as soon as I can take a photo of it !

The charge spoon is the most frequently recommended saddle on here....Mines in the post, so I can't comment on it yet.

I went and brought a charge spoon after hearing how comfy it was and i really dont get on with it. Feels like the seat is to wide and the corners affect my pedalling as it feel like its lifting my hips when i dont want it too.

i have a selle italia c2 which is slender and has no bumps etc and can do 40 miles on it without feeling pain which is nice

everyone's different so you just got to try them imo.

just read again that you had the gobi that has quite a large part at the back to similar to the back of the charge so that may not suit you either. why not give a selle italia saddle a go there either love or hate but they have a smaller width back which you may find better.

Ive got an SDG on the Five, far too much padding, and Cromo railed Spoon on my Charge SS, a Ti railed Spoon on my Giant and I am waiting for the postman to bring me a Knife to put on the Maxlight.
