Havering. Looks a bit crap outside.
  • Not for me. The first club run of the year I'll miss. I don't want to shrink in the rain. I'm 5'9'', I can't afford to lose any more height.
  • It's not raining here, bit of a breeze up but I haven't even had a coffee yet.

It's meant to clear up slightly later so i'm going to wait a bit then go out mid afternoon. Even if it is still wet.

I went. It was damp but not terrible up here. 47 miles later I'm safely home, well baconed and riding the endorphin cloud. Lovely.

sounds good, we headed to Snaith and back, must have weighed about 10 pound heavier by the end, suppose you've got to take the rough with the smooth, can't complain after the summer we've had

  • Out at 6.45 am as usual, ready to meet my usual Sunday morning group in Dorchester. No one else turned up! Back home the long way, 3 hours in all - so shorter, but wetter, than usual. Could have done with a lie-in and waited for the weather to clear ...

Went out after work into the pouring rain for an 8 mile trip home in the rain, even though I live 1.5 miles away. Then today (Sunday) went out at 6am for a 30-miler, half of which was spent in the pouring rain.

Anyone put off by a bit of rain can post me their bikes. I'll put them to good use!

Weather said it would stop raining at 4, it did so I got 3 hours of sunshine before it got dark. result :)

Only 11 degrees at the end so I just about needed the long sleeve top but shorts, fingerless mitts and shoes with vents in were all fine. You people wearing tights already need to MTFU :)

Went out Saturday night just as it was starting to rain. Got progressively heavier for the next 90 minutes, as did I due to becoming waterlogged.

    V. impressed by the longevity of my new rechargeable batteries, and the waterproof nature of my Fenix torch.

Less impressed by a new pothole I discovered on my fastest descent; convinced I'd broken both wrists and dented the rim. Fortunately neither proved to be the case, and I'm off back in daylight so I can report it.

Commuted to work last Wednesday and have never been so wet on my bike (then had to wear the same kit home at the end of the day) so didn't fancy another soaking yesterday or a 20 mile drive to the club run to find no-one else turned up. 37 mile round trip commute today, tomorrow and Wednesday instead so saving a few quid in the process. :D
