Determining Average Gradient

Hi,
I've just done what I would call a hilly route in Fife.
This: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Th ... f-Newburgh
There are 3 "big" climbs on that:
The Gutchers into The Gauldry
http://www.multimap.com/s/iFRngmjf
Which I reckon is 50m in 750m (60m at the junction to the 100m gradient line, the hill doesn't stop until way through the village but that's the main climb)
Whinnybank and Lumbennie from Newburgh to er Lumbennie Hill
http://www.multimap.com/s/PpDGkFAB
164m in 2km
From the 30m line to the spot height 194 at Bawhills
and The Cadgers from Freuchie Mill to Burnturk
http://www.multimap.com/s/jEQhhn3n
90m in 1km
From the K-Right at 90m to the 153 line at Cardsknolls (It does ease off before that so could saying it's 35m in around 400 (to the left hander at the edge of the woods)
I've taken my calculation of the Average Gradient off because I'm not convinced I've got the calculation right, could someone estimate these please?
Getting up the Cadgers in 1 go was good as I've never managed it before, always been beaten or had to zig-zag. And yes I was on the same bike as other attempts... 22x32, 5kmh

50m in 750m is 7%
164m in 2000m is 8%
90m in 1000m is 9%
So none of them vastly steep for most people on here but that combo would probably kill me!
My 'normal' climb is about the same as the first of those (slightly less steep at 6% for 800m) I slow down to 11kmh and take a fair bit of coasting to recover after the steepest bit at the top. Anything steeper and I'm toast for the next 10 miles!2010 Trek 1.5 Road - swissstop green, conti GP4000S

Found Toporoute.com, the Wihinnybank one is 1/2 a km longer than I determined from the map, so it's around 6% but I was fairly accurate with the rest.
And you have confirmed my calculation method was right. Climb/Distance * 100 = %av.grad.
Off to see what it thinks of Path of CondieDo Nellyphants count?
