Watching/taping (old skool) tonight's race

I've checked BBC listing for tonight and they mention the race as 'red button'.
I thought that meant chl 301 303 on our recording digi (freeview) box, but that's coming up as '1 xtra highlights'.
So is there not a channel I can record and watch, as live, first thing?, have I got to wait for the highlights?

According to this page it's not on BBC red button Freeview

There's BBC 2 highlights at 1300-1400, or British / International Eurosport from 0735 for about 3 hours.0
