Edge 205 Not Recognised error

My edge 205 has stopped synchronising with my PC - I get a USB device not recognised message. The device it self is working fine. The only thing that I can think caused it - is a 2.5 hour ride yesterday in torrential rain ......but as I say the ege itself is working fine - it even charges via the usb - but just won't transfer data to the pc ....any ideas ?

    I guess you've tried the basic IT support suggestion? A re-boot of the PC. Though I had the same with my Countour camera and I cured it by slipping the battery out and back in which you can't really do on a Garmin.
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    Tried it in a USB port on the back of the computer - and it worked. - Although it is showing my average speed as a paltry 15.5MPH - I was pretty sure it was 25 meself :lol:

    Might just be a case of reinstalling the drivers from the cd. For some reason the usb ports become associated with a given software. If I change my ipod usb connection and stick in my garmin the ipod wont be recognised unless i, like you have done, stick it in another port. Personally I blame Wiggle.
