What replacement rear wheel for Genesis Day 01?

Hey everyone, this might be a bit of a daft question but I'm looking to replace the back wheel on my Genesis Day 01 (the '09 version in black). To be honest I have no idea about axel widths and compatable hubs with single speed free wheels and such. Not to mention what'd be generally - a suitable wheel for the bike. Any pointers would be appreciated. I'm looking for a new wheel becuase I keep breaking spokes on my current stock one : /
On a passing note, I have no idea why I keep breaking spokes on it, I replace when with higher quality double butted spokes checked for length and trued by my lbs. They just seem to snap completely randomly with no pattern or relation to what I'm doing at the time.
Also while I'm at it, should I replace the freewheel too? I THINK it's slipped a few times on me.
Many thanks.

The problem with bike shps is that they replace the spoke, true the wheel and send you off. I've never seen any actually bothering to check the tension with a gauge.
The reason you break spokes is probably low tension, which has caused fatigue cracks and now one by one they are failing.
If you say the hub is dodgy too, then go for a whole new wheel (I assume any single speed one should do), otherwise you'll have to get the tension checked first and if that does not solve the problem (as fatigue has already damaged the spokes), then a rebuild is necessary.

If you don't want to spend too much you can't go wrong with a pair of these, or just the rear one if you prefer.

Good dependable wheels, not too heavy and tough as old boots

THese are NOT for single speed. They have a 10 speed rear hubleft the forum March 20230 -
Hey guy's, thanks for the replies. I'm not sure if it's the free wheel or the hub, but a few times I think I've felt something slip in the drive train, we're not talking frequently, but it has happened a few times.
Anyone have any suggestions for around £50 to £80? (Or should I up my budget)0 -
Hey everyone, sorry to dig this up again but I wouldn't mind some thoughts. I'll make it a bit more simple...
I keep snapping spokes on my back wheel, do I buy a new wheel for about £80, or have it rebuilt?
My bike's a single speed Genesis Day 01
Many thanks.0 -
By the way if you vote new wheel, suggestions please.0
