good lights for winter/rain etc

hi,

sorry if there have already been lots of posts on lights!

I have a set of smart lunar 25 lux lights and to say they have been rubbish would be talking them up quite a lot!

so basically I need a good set that can cope with rain and the cold! not too expensive but not so cheap they aren't any good!

all suggestions welcome!

although I did notice one just after I posted so sorry! on my phone as bike radar is blocked at work so makes it a little more difficult!

What's wrong with them? I've seen some good reviews.

they are in no way waterproof! the switch doesn't work after the slightest amount of water! I've seen a few reviews with the same problem!

just wrap an old tube around it to keep the rain off it

*NOT* Cateye. They are worse than useless in the rain.

Generally though, it's worth putting tape around the seals to keep the water out.

The Magicshine is a top recommendation on the MTB forum. A couple of my matess have them, and they certainly look the business - very bright on HI, and with a good long burn time.

Soome people have apparently had issues with water getting in via the battery connection. I think there is now a newer version with a better connector - but if you have the older one it may be worth checking, and maybe applying some sort of sealant on the connection.
