fair enough really I generally ming when I get off the bike

plus, they're runners, for that reason alone they should be ostracised

I wonder if they'd done a long run first?

As a runner I have to say we do tend to smell after a run*. I, of course, don't especially now that I've discovered the joys of merino tops 8).

I wouldn't have been offended under the circumstances reported, but would probably have planted myself outside in the first place unless the weather was bad.

It might have been a fast 6 miles and if it was a sunny day........................

its the bacteria in cycling gear thats the culprit, it may smell clean after washing but as soon as you start to sweat in it it reeks plus theres the serious condition of quaver mitten to contend with, ive just ordered some halo sport wash in an effort to remove the odours from my sports gear as i have a pile of quite frankly unwearable clothing due to the bacterial smell. will update if it works

Of course, it's possible they were just a bunch of soap dodgers.

i think camelbacks and other backpacks dont get washed every ride and the amount of sweat they must soak up can cause bad smells, so along with cheesy helmets and prawn cocktail cycle mitts you also have a back that smells like beth ditto,s groin on a sunny day, us cyclist are a sweet bunch

Shoes, as likely as not. Shoes hum, esp if they've been through the rain - dry - rain - dry cycle a few times.
