Need to rebuild my uterly fuck3d rear wheel on a budget. Gonna recycle hub and spokes, but need a rim.
It's a 700c wheel, but with discs, So rim braking surface don't matter. Needs to be robust, and I'm not superfussed about weight, as me nor the bike are mountain goats anyway!!
Any suggestions, or shall i just pick up the cheapest 36 holer i can find?
ETA - will put 25 or 28s on it....
Also, other than the braking surface, is there any fundamental difference between disc/caliper rims?

You can use caliper rims with disc brakes/hub, but a disc specific rim will be lighter because it doesn't need the braking surface and therefore doesn't need to be as thick.Dolan Preffisio
