  • Double is double ring chainset. Triple is one with three chainsets
    Fixies are like BMX's, single front and single rear. You can get ones with freewheel or fixed wheel. Not sure what compact is, I think means the gears are close together.
    Say... That's a nice bike..

    fixie is a bike with one gear and a fixed wheel.
    single speed is a bike with one gear but can freewheel.
    a double is the number of cogs on the chainset, normally 38/53 or 42/52
    a compact has two cogs on the front but of a smaller size.
    a triple has three cogs on the front giving a bigger range.
    constantly reavalueating the situation and altering the perceived parameters accordingly

    They're types of bra.

    You don't see the triple very often, but it's worth it when you do.

    :lol::lol::lol:

    Compacts are really hard to undo with your teeth; fixies are pretty much impossible!
