Evening All,
I'm just about to upgrade my chainset to the swanky Shimano SLX M660 HollowTech II Triple Chainset, but could do with a recommendation on which is the best chain to go with it.
I am also considering upgrading the cassette to Shimano XT Cassette 9 Speed M770.
Many thanks
Stuart

TBH any.
I like Sram chains."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

As long as its 9speed it doesnt matter they are all much the same. Obviously the more you pay gets you a lighter smoother but not neccasarily longer lasting chain. My personal fave at the moment is the KMC 9XL silver. They are chrome plated so dont rust if you chuck the bike into the shed wet and forget to clean it.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

I put a KMC X9L Gold on the Anthem - shifts well and is light.
I've heard the lighter SL version can be fragile0 -

Just got a KMC X9L gold for £21 delivered from an ebay shop - probikebitz I think. I looked at the lowest accepted offer I could find in the feedback and offered it (£19 +£2 postage) and offered that. I should have tried a bit lower to start with as you get three offers.Santa Cruz Tallboy0
