Shame to see Frank retire, but then I suppose he's getting on a bit, a pro for 16 years!

I went to a "show" organised by Specialized a few years ago where the Gerolsteiner team turned up. Frank decided to introduce the team and started off with "Fark me, it's Fabian Wegmann" :D

    Seemed like a good chap and liked his input to Procycling Magazine.
    I remember shouting at him at the Worlds in Verona when he was just getting caught back from a breakaway. I shouted "FRANK" and he turned and stared hard at me as though he thought "who the hell was that???"
    I was only another reader who appreciated his riding and writing.
