What's coming up lads, decent sort of distance and terrain please.

I have a few short XC races planned but fancy another longer distance event.

Not a 24 hour though lol

  • Test Valley Tour some time in October. Last year had a thirty or forty-five mile option.

  • Not sure if this is of interest... more Super4 than Meta5 :)

Bristol Bikefest Oktoberfest - 16th October

25-30min laps around part of the Bristol Timberland Trail - twisty singletrack with lots of roots - more endurance rather then enduro. Good atmosphere at the last event.

    The setup:
The Oktoberfest is a one day event which will take place on Saturday the 16th October giving everybody the chance to bring the event season to the perfect ending with some first class racing followed with some chilling and partying after the event. The Oktoberfest will have an 8 hour event as well as two 4 hour events. This should give everybody the chance to find the perfect lengths for their final MTB event of the season.

All three events we will have solo, pairs and teams of 3-4 rider categories – all available in Teams Open, Team Old Gits (average age of riders needs to be 40+ years) and Single Speed.

    The course:
The course being one of the best bits of the Kona Oktoberfest Bikefest with its super fast and well flowing single track will get a few refinements but basically will stay the same. We will not require a scaffolding bridge for the Oktoberfest – so no worries about sliding out on it! And with lots of effort and material going into the maintenance of the course we are expecting a pretty much all weather course! Besides going by our records – the last 3 Octobers have been some of the driest months of the year.
