Constant headwind

Repaired my first roadside puncture yesterday on my way to work. Fine, went well, took less than 10 minutes to fit a new inner tube. Was quite pleased with myself. Gave it some welly for the rest of the journey to make up time. Last bend before I arrive at my workplace, front loses traction and I stack it spectacularly and slide down the road on my hip and elbow for 10-15 metres :oops: Bent the left hood and put a few scratches on my one week old Caad 8. Totally gutted about the damage to my shiny new bike but I feel like I earned a badge of honour or two yesterday.
