Hi
I got muc off bike spray on my brakes and so I need to replace the pads. What pads do you recommend? They need to fit in to the following:
Tektro Auriga Pro, hydraulic disc, dual piston with 160mm rotor
Cheers

If you're buying from Superstar, pad S2. Apparently any Deore m575 pads will fit too.0

Someone else mentioned superstar too. Is that the best place to buy from then? If so I'll grab the Kevlar 4 pack.2010 Specialized Rockhopper

Hmm I thought Muc-off was brake pad friendly. Apart from that have you thought about taking the pads out and rubbing them down a bit with wet and dry.
I assume you mean this...

Dubcat, do you mean GT85? I told you not to go near your brakes with it :roll:0

Muc Off Bike Spray is just another oily spray so yup, keep it off the brakes (though I usually find I can recover an oiled pad with brake cleaner and a scotchbrite pad, it's probably not good practice to do so)
Superstar Kevlar are the best allround pads I've ever used, they're ace. But other pads are available I used Discobrakes sintered in my Aurigas, they were decent enough, lasted well but not a lot of power.Uncompromising extremist0 -
I took it to mean the pfte (?) coating that you apply after the wash. Muc Off cleaning spray doesn't wreck the pads as far as I am aware AND there was a thread on this where certain people were certainly making up stuff...0

It is the pfte stuff that I got on my brakes. And yes pplum I know you told me so . I didn't do it on purpose or hit them hard with it. Seems even overspray is enough to wreck them. In future I will cover them with a cloth before spraying.
I will go with the superstar kevlars then. They have a 4 pack. Two sets for using now and two as spares...2010 Specialized Rockhopper
