sorry missed that one!!i ride a hardtail0

I nearly went to 2x10, but last time out my perception of how gears are used changed. Might still go 3x10, or 2x10 if I can work out the ratio needed.0

Are you using a wider range cassette and slightly bigger rings on the front?0 -
I am running 22/32/44 and 11-32 on the Zaskar. It is not that I use the big ring and small ring that much - but when I do, I am glad they are there.0
-
2x9 for the enduro which is the best bike in the world so i ride it the most.
might change the existing 32 for a bigger ring though.0 -
front is 34 middle ring on mine I think. That'll do me for winter, but when it gets replaced it will be by a 36 I think, or maybe even 38.0
-
2x9.
22/36t on the front
then atm for dh and 4x i have 11-25 roadie cassette on the back
and for places like llandegla when i'd rather have the bigger range cassette i have 11-34.
also for dh and 4x i'm gonna get one of these http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/5663855/ together with my blackspire stinger i'd be able to make my own single ring chain device for when i need it. great success0 -
I alternate between double and bash and triple, but now about to go single ring0
-
3x9 but considering dropping the 44t, it only gets used on the road.0
-
on the 29er im running a 32t up front and 11-34 at the rear, i havent found many places where i would need anything more. you just have to think in advance about what your riding.
The new bike is coming with 2x10 set up, looking forward to that.0 -
22/34 front and 11/34 rear on my 5.
22/32/44 front and 11/34 on the Marin, but that'll be going 2x9 shortly.
I'm tempted by 1x10 though.0 -
Standard 3x9 for me also, but thinking of either buying a bike with one of those 8 speed alfine hubs attached or possibly buying a frame and whacking the new 11 speed version on as hopefully a good winter bike.
Or go SS, not sure what to do. :?0 -
I took this as the bike you use most for mountainbiking, as my most used bike overall is the one i commute on which is SS.
The MTB has 3x9 though as many others are; I am considering dropping the big ring.0 -
1 x 8 on the commuter/4x/play bike (38T chainring)
1 x 9 on the FR/DH bike. (40T chainring)
my daily commute is uphill all the way home, and im never any lower than mid block at the back. I Dont need anything easier than that. Its only 3.5 miles each way, so i dont feel the need to sit and spin away.0 -
2x9.
Nobody uses big rings they are soooooo 1990s dahling0 -
