I would very much like to recommend the Castle Inn which is situated in Chiddingstone, Kent. Very friendly and always a warm welcome to cyclisits. The Manager always comes out and speaks to owners about their bikes.

What is a bike friendly pub?
This sounds more like a pub that has a landlord who is interested in bikes.
What would you expect from a bike friendly pub, and where are they?Want to know the Spen666 behind the posts?

I was thinking about this earlier this morning (regarding cake shops rather than pubs but it's the same sort of idea).
You want somewhere that has parking for bikes where you can keep an eye on them, sheltered outdoor seating or somewhere inside where they stinking cyclists aren't going to scare off the other customers. Polished stone floors are probably not good for cleats either...
Other good points would be around the location - not in a town centre or a dual carriage way for a start!2010 Trek 1.5 Road - swissstop green, conti GP4000S
2004 Marin Muirwoods Hybrid0 -
Quite simple - a bike friendly pub is where the Landlord welcomes cyclists.....I have been to quite a few and quite frankly, they don't want your custom, not to mention parking the bike outside.0

very good base for some excellent cycling, has secure storage and bike cleaning facilities, good beer and exceptionally comfortable beds.0 -
The Dog and Bell in Deptford is a good local pub for cyclists - you're welcome to take your bike through the pub and into the garden and there are a good number of Sheffield stands out the front as well. (Greenwich and Lewisham cyclists use the pub for meetings and ''debriefings'' so the pub gains trade from being cycle friendly. Added to which it's also very beer friendly - guest ales along with good quality regular beers. They also used to have a wide selection of malt whiskies - these, though, don't seem perfectly suited for the cycle back home)

Hadrian Lodge?
The Powder Monkey has changed beyond all recognition over the last 10 or so years. It used to be a no go place in the past. Its not bad in there nowWant to know the Spen666 behind the posts?
