Storage....

Hi, this my first post on here, so if it this has been asked before I am sorry
I live in a terraced house with a unused ouside toilet. I am planning on storing my wife's and my bike in there. The only issue is that it is slightly damp. I don't want to make it too hard to get the bikes in and out of the toilet, but I was thinking that too be on the safe side I would get a couple of bike covers.
Does sound sensible? Over the top? Stupid? Does anyone store there bikes in the old out house?

I would guess that you may just be trapping moisture under the cover and making things worse unless the roof is letting water pour in. Could you fit a vent, or drill a series of holes, to both the top and bottom of the door to allow some ventilation? That should be enough to keep the inside dry.
Oh and welcome to the forum :P0 -
Merkin - thanks for the reply and the touch of common sense. I never even considered that the covers would trap the moisture.
I think I will splash out and fit a couple of air bricks and hope (with my fingers crossed) that solves the dampness.
Thanks again.0
