140 recons loss of pressure ?

Was at Afan for a biggy this weekend, seems when i got up this morning my forks are at 50psi.

Bike was left in car in cold overnight if that could play a factor.

Forks are 3 weeks old and barely used.

They were pumped to 140psi about 10 days ago.

Do forks lose pressure over time ? Or even over riding tough terrain ? Or should they be keeping 140psi no matter what ?

well you should check and adjust before every ride.

also you should find out what the pressure change is when you attach the pump.

then you can see if they are actually losing air.

pressure change from release and reconnect won't be 90psi though will it.

I'd expect 5 even 10psi from disconnection etc. But not 90.

Tighten the valve core, see if it helps.

Checked this morning and was showing 140psi.

Had a couple of checks of connecting and disconnecting and was losing 5psi

Had a quick tighten of the valve as per Supersonics advice and we'll have to wait and see really.

Maybe it was just one of them things, maybe it's only when it's worked hard etc... Time will tell.
