Hi
we would like to go and watch this next year, especially the cobbles section
any tips on where to go and watch gratefully received

    You should be able to watch two passages. I would suggest the Tranche d'Arenberg and the "Pave' de Luchin et del Carrefour de l'Arbre", the first is legendary, the second is where often the race is decided, a few miles from the finish.
    Alternatively a good pave' is "mons en Pevele", in my opinion the most difficult (after Arenberg). Last year Cancellara attacked just before that one.
    Otherwise any pave' in the last 20-30 Km is likely to be exciting.
    If you book early you can find accomodation in Lille/Roubaix, otherwise we enjoyed our stay at St. Quentin, a lovely town indeed
