Cantil-lever cable stops

We are building a dedicated commuter for my daughter, we had a donor bike with full STX groupset and will be reframing it (that frame was too big for her) using a Claude Butler Trailridge frame.

The only issue is the groupset is with cantilever brakes and the CB had V's so we need to fit some cable stops.

Current plan is
Front
Drill the stem out, outer will pass through the top and be stopped at the bottom surface where the hole will be sized for inner only (I'll do a small counterbore for the outer).

There is no room for seperate stop.

We could use V's, but that means buying some new shifters, the STX are very nice and she can't afford V-compatable lever assemblies right now!

Rear
one of those seattube clamps designed for fitting racks and SJcycles do a canti stop designed to bolt to rack mounts soput the two together.

Unless anyone has better ideas?

Thanks, that link seems to be a cable hanger with no stop.

Yes I've seen one seat clamp with 2 stops (ebay) but not found a single stop one, if you have a brand that would be great! Just tried the on-one site, but no joy!

Try using an up-hanger at the front. They bolt to the fork crown and result in much more positive braking.
The usual uphanger device doesnt have a barrel adjuster so you need one at the brake lever or an in-line adjuster.

OK, maybe better than drilling a stem (although the neatness appeals, and no added weight!) which is a bit terminal

Wonder if it has a crown at the rear it can bolt to as well! Will check the frame in the morning!
