    Looks pretty good to me.
Never understood the Boardman antipathy around these parts.
  • how are your ultremo's holding up?
done about the same miles on mine and they are starting to cut up really badly (1 every 2 inches of tyre on both front and rear)

  • Thanks guys, I'm that into it now that I'm already starting to think about what to buy next! Going to enjoy the boardman for another 12 months at least thought!

whats the point of a comment like that. He didn't even have to go through halfords and the boardmans are great bikes. Don't write good bikes off because of where they're bought from.

Hi I have the same bike, I was wondering how you are finding the kool stop pads in comparison to the stock pads? I've been finding my stock pads just aren't, well, stopping.

Oh and I was totally going to put white tape and a white saddle on mine, not copying, honest.
  • The koolstops are a big improvement, best £13ish I've spent on the bike so far! Couldn't tell you what they're like in the wet but apparently there pretty good.

    It's not anti-Boardman, it's anti Halfords...

FWIW, I've never bought a bike from Halfords so can't comment. I haven't ridden a Boardman either but I can see that they seem to be brill vfm.

Really is a great bike! The majority of Halfords do suck, but the two times I've had to go to Halfords in Leicester, they guys at the bike section seem to know what they are doing, and are pretty nice.

I bought my Boardman hybrid from a Halford employee who'd had the bike set up very nicely.

Having read about Halfords, glad I didn't have to deal with them.

I was 10 miles old and I got it for about 2/3 retail - happy days.

Great bike and as Nap D said very good VFM.

I had a look at one last weekend. Looked pretty nice to me.

It's as they say, it's how he/she rides that counts :)
