Kinesis say it's designed for 100-130mm forks, but i've seen some people run 140's with them- lawman? i was thinking of using RS recon solo air 140's with it. Is 130 a max limit, or is it safe or warrantied with 140's?

Thanks

May not be warrantee'd for 140mm forks, but 10mm over the max suggested travel shouldn't be unsafe.

Longer fork will change the handling of the bike a little though ...

The Recon's may only have 10mm more travel than your current forks, but they may also have a taller crown.

can you not fit a spacer to the fork to drop it? Is it an "all travel adjust" fork?
  • Just to clear it up, i don't have either yet, i'm just planning a build, the forks are AT, so i might drop them, but it should be ok at 140mm, thanks for your help.
