Bought this bike on 1998 and this year replaced the whole drivetrain and shifters. I use it for training in atumn and winter. Next week will install lights too - front Busch & Müller Ixon IQ, rear Sigma.

Not bad, purpose built winter time bikes are a plan. I can't ride here in the winter, it just ices and snows everyday. At least your not ruining a top of the line frame by riding in winter!0
