I've just got a cannondale frame off a friend and I as trying to work out what it is.
I'll pop some photos up to help as soon as i can but for now i'll describe it.
Its a blue hardtail, disc mounts only, came with a lefty fork that just said lefty headshock on it.
the frame says "optimo" on it which I thought was the model but it seams they do a optimo and a furio in different models.
I would guess it a 2005 due to the kit left on it.
Any clues would be appreciated
Oh i've checked the cannondale site but couldn't find it

optimo is also a 'dale tubeset or alloy.
but guess what.
Pics will get you a better result."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

thats the closest one i've found, only difference is mine is just solid blue.
Hope mine looks as good as that.
So what the difference between a optimo and a furio ? I'm guessing the optimo is a bit more race as the other is trail?0 -

no idea what furio is but Optimo is the Alloy not a model.

From memory Optimo was the tubeset / frame type after CAAD5 on MTB's, I had a F800 which was CAAD5 in 2002 but the year after it was with the Optimo tube set which had slightly more tapered tubes and less sculpting on the seat stays.

I reckon its 2003 and maybe an F3000 SL, F1000 or F800.
unfortunately Cannondale have no archive pre 2005 (the year they went bust) getting info on anything prior to that is quite tricky, and don't even bother asking the new distributors as they are rubbish.
spares are all still available for frames and Lefty's though from various places.
Noah's ark have been the best in my experience.
hope that helpsI'm not old I'm Retro0
