IT geeks, network drive not opening

I'm trying to connect remotely to my companies shared drive but it comes up with the error message

"An error has occurred connecting to ... MS Network: The local device name is already in use. This connection has not been restored"

I've checked and cannot see any other device with the same name, any ideas?

    This happens a lot with networks in rhyl. It's caused by something. Hope that helps.

    It could be an IP address conflict. Duplicate machine name in AD.VPN could be playing silly buggers. Could be an issue with mapped drives and/or your profile. Delete any mapped drives you have added manually. Log off and on and try again.
