Utter cretins. Although, if I'd gone to the effort of writing a book and was in the habit of carrying around the laptop it was saved on, I'd probably make sure it was backed-up at home.0

Not really. Things get stolen and/or vandalised, that's why we have insurance. Book drafts can be backed-up, another form of insurance. I appreciate it's a blow for all involved, but at the end of the day it's a petty theft by pathetic idiots.0 -

The trouble is this kind of thing happens all to often, one reason being the deterents aren't!
Sadly, and I don't want to be a harbinger of doom, given the current economic climate and the impending cuts in just about everything it's a situation I don't see getting better anytime soon. No I'm not making excuses for such deeds I'm just saying this sort of thing will become more prelevent.Tail end Charlie
