Hi all,
Is there any way of tucking the gearing cables under the handlebars & for them to work sufficently??
Dont particularly want to buy ultergra or dura ace brake levers, because i think they are like this.
Also want to keep the main comonents shimano based & i have just brought some RS20 wheels.

The new 105's have concealed cables.Just under £150 from Parker International
Don't know a cheaper way0 -
i think you can use nokon cable housing to bring the gear cable down under the tape
you've still got the cable coming out of the side of the shifter, but you can get tighter bends with the nokon outer so it lets you bend it down tight enough to get under the tape...

Hi, can you run the new 105's on the exsisting groupset components??
I have got the basic 2300 8 speed spec on the bike at the minute & I am upgrading my spesh as the funds come along. Don't fancy spending over £450 on the 105 groupset at the moment.

You will need a 10 speed cassette, front mech(may get away without it) and 10 speed chain
I did it all in for just over £200 including shifters. This was on an Allez and going from 9 to 10 speed. I'd broken a shifter so didn't have a lot of choice but really worth it. Great gear changes and looks a lot cleaner. Easier with night lights as well0
