what's the best stretch of road you've come across in london?
i use commercial street - behind whitechapel - for my commute home and the road is smooth for while. one can get up to 20+mp/h fairly easily. by far the best part of my commute.

The stretch leading to City Airport and the plane home...."Encyclopaedia is a fetish for very small bicycles"0 -
I've not been past that way for a few months so the buses may have ruined it by now but:
New Kent Road (westbound side) - Bricklayers -> Elephant and Castle was pretty sweet after it was resurfaced.0 -
Now that half of Brookmill Road (Deptford to Lewisham) has been resurfaced it's pretty good, a nice smooth half mile or so without lights which is great for SCR.0

there is about 50 yards by Stratford tube station that is ok0

Sad, or wot?0

I cycle home down Jamaica Road and usually turn right onto Lower Road at the Rotherhithe tunnel roundabout. sometimes to add about 1.75 miles on to my commute I turn left at the roundabout and go round the loop of Brunel/Salter and Redriff Road....that stretch is pretty good road, it always seems to be like a wind tunnel though!!0

Waterloo Bridge heading southbound is lovely, straight and smooth since the resurfaced itDo not write below this line. Office use only.0
