I LOVE this bike shelf and think it's easily the most stylish method of storing a bike in a small flat :

but at a cool $300?? (plus shipping)...

Tip the nod to Ikea, call it OLAF or something and bingo. £12.

DIY costs less, although I like the wood finish.

    Good idea Kets
  • I love that! You'd need a) a nice bike, b) to keep it clean, and c) a nice zen flat to make it look that good though. You wouldn't want to hang one of those multi-decaled carbon monstrosities on there; steel fixed gear or nothing, really.

This works with different angles of top-tubes (but not with wide MTB handlebars):

If anyone seriously wants one let me know and I'll make it for you, how about (in stained and polished seasoned pine) £50 plus shipping? Sorry, IKEA I'm not (but a bloody good carpenter I am)

Noooo, a proper steel bike which still has its gears! Don't want one of those fashionista single geared monstorisities on it.

Agreed re Carbon though - infact, anything with a compact frame would result in the books falling off anyway
    Faster than a tent.......
  • Hehehe - I'm talking about a frame that never HAD gears.

A mate sent me a link to that last night. I immediately went into consumer drool mode until I saw the price...
