Bike Lids (again)

I need to reignite this!
On Saturday my boss was thrown from his bike after hitting a pot hole at 25 mph. He landed on his head then slid down the road.
Very nasty to see the aftermath.
The impact on the lid from where he hit the ground was shocking(and Concave)
If the lid wasn't there???
Can someone please explain why you feel it would not have made a difference if he wears a lid or not, I am constantly baffled by this argument?

I am not going to search the site to find the dull and pointless helmet debate
If you are a regular on this site then I am sure you know of the debates that go on!!!
In fact this is a forum so I will post what ever I want. If you are not interested then don't join in to the Dull and pointless debate or maybe just answer the question rather than being an ?Sirrus Comp 2010 (commuting)

as you say fella - it's a forum, so my opinion is just as valid as yours. My opinion is that without the helmet, he probably wouldn't have even crashed in the first place...
(I'm using the same logic as you, by the way)0 -
You state the need to reignite this and even have (again) in your topic heading so you are obviously aware that it has been discussed in length previously (last time being a coupe of weeks back and all the salient points for both sides were discussed ad nauseum.0

So he fell off and would have been killed. Lots of people fall off. Some get killed [apparently], most don't.
Move along please. Nothing to see here.0 -
