Hi Guys,
Just started my second year at Newcastle uni and decided to bring my bike up since im not in halls anymore. I have joined the uni cycling society but was wondering if anyone could give me any pointers of good local trails to explore in my own time? I am living in the Jesmond area, and dont have a car, so they would need to be within riding distance if possible, and im after some good aggressive xc or all mountain stuff if possible!
all suggestions appreciated, cheers!

Hello there,
As far as i know there isn't much within riding distance. (I could be wrong!) Although Chopwell woods near Gateshead is worth check out. It's not very big but is really good. You can make a bit of a circuit of it.
Check out this website for good riding spots in the North East
