Just putting up my potential plan for an epic trip next summer, just after people opinions.

OK so the plan would be to travel from Col d'Aubisque to Monte Zoncolan, taking in Col d'Tourmalet, Col d'Aspin, Mont Ventoux, Alpe d'Huez, Galibier, Passo Mortirolo, Passo Gavia and Monte Zoncolan.

I'd plan on allowing three weeks to a month for the whole trip which is 1078 miles in total which forms a roughly straight line through the bottom of france and top of italy.

Is there enough climbing in there for you????? 8)
  • I have set the bar very high with the intention of almost certainly whittling the list down by one or two depending on peoples advice on best climbs/logistics etc.
