As far as i recall I've got a couple of adjustable spanners,. a spare tube, some allen keys in a sort of penknife holder and some tyre levers in my pack. Is there any thing else I should carry?

Or perhaps some funky and expensive tool I could ask someone for Christmas??

Cheers

Tom

mini pump, tube, tyre lever, spare link and 4/5/6mm allen keys - all carried in a cut down water bottle on the seat tube. For anything else, I will just phone my team car...

Mini pump, topeak mini 20, park self adhesive patches, tyre levers
  • As per sungod except i use a VAR tyre lever, which I think is great to use with difficult tyres.

Sod's law made sure that the only time this year I forgot to pack a spare tube and tyre levers I got a puncture, was a snakebite too and I had no big patches in my kit, the patch I put on leaked and I had to pump the tyre a few times on the way home.
  • Largely what sungod carries, but I also include a few paper towels, a couple of alcohol wipes and some plasters.

I also use my seatpost as storage for a few spares - spokes & nipples, brake and gear cables, a few bolts and some cable ties. A carrier bag and a bit of electrical tape keep the whole lot secure.
