I don't do MOR, but could ask one or two mates if they're up for it.

Are you talking chart/dance kinda stuff? Or indie disco kinda stuff?

Is all equipment provided or do they need to bring their own?

And, crucially, how much wonga is on offer for how long? :D

Ah Tecnic 1210s, Vestax mxer and JBL speakers!

The corner stone for you house and garage bashment!

If you want to rave to "I don't smoke the reefer" "Pleasure" and "Chocolate boy" I may be able to help...

    I haven't DJ'ed in years...
    Food Chain number = 4

Chart / dance sort of stuff (to keep 25 to 50's happy), no equipment provided. I used the venue last year, it has a stage and the DJ I had last year was happy with the set-up. Time probably 7.30 till 12ish, paying whatever the going 'mate rate' ( ) is, not looking for any favours just a 'no-worry on the night for me' provider at a decent price.

    Thanks...'mate'

    I'll ask around.

Does the venue have a PA at all?

Your local Moss Bros should be able to hire one to you. Single or double breasted?

    :-)

My nephew is a DJ/Sound Engineer. He has all of his own equipment (his decks and mixer alone are worth ~£5000) and is available for hire, but you would have to confirm with him about the date.
He's been DJing professionally for about 15 years and does all the usual functions (weddings, christenings, birthday parties etc). Various music styles and all ages catered for.
PM if you want anymore info.
FCN 3: Raleigh Record Ace fixie-to be resurrected sometime in the future
    FCN 4: Planet X Schmaffenschmack 2- workhorse
FCN 9: B Twin Vitamin - winter commuter/loan bike for trainees

    I'm hungry. I'm always hungry!

Thanks. Should have mentioned this is not a big event, it's a small club do, maybe 60 odd people. Free food for the DJ 8)

I told him it was the O2 Arena!!
A small club will be fine. He has various rigs to cater for different sized venues (from one speaker stack up to six).

If you need photos or a video made, I have another nephew who does that too.

A steel framed, disc braked, 11 speed Alfine drop bar would keep me entertained for 2 hours a day...waiting for the PM....

    Waiting for him to call.
He didn't have his diary with him, so he will call me when he can say 'yay' or 'nay' for certain.

I'm about to finish building a steel framed fixie. Flip and chopped bars (but chopped so that I can still ride on the hoods). When I finish building it, if I enjoy riding fixed I'm considering building up the disc front hub I have into a wheel, but that would obviously need disc forks.

This cheap fixie idea I had is getting more expensive every day.

...Oh and a few normal ones (I will be there).

I've spoken to him, had a quote, run it past our committee...and we've booked him for the event.

    Thanks! Mark

Brilliant. Now to get my agent's fee from him. 15% should do me.
