im torn over the 800.
i think it does look great but when you compare it to the 705...is it really worth the extra £150 for the full package??
personally i dont think it is.0 -
The reviews I have would suggest that you are right. If you have the 705 the upgrade is perhaps not worth it, unless you are gadget boy or really want the bigger screen. However if you have not got a GPS system then it always seems wisest to opt for the latest.0

i do think the 800 looks amazing. i like the idea of the touchscreen etc. but its just the extra £150.
plus i imagine it will be riddled with bugs for the first couple of years.
will be interesting to see the reviews of it!
wonder if the edge 705 will drop in price when its launched??
i know the others havent dropped much, but this is a direct replacement for the 705 - isnt it??0 -

With the problems the 705 is having with firmware updating, I wouldn't touch another Garmin until they sort their act out. I'm still to receive mine back from them despite repeated requests. The 800 is likely to suffer with gremlins in its first release version.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0

Got a mate in the trade and reckons around the 10th of November also they are bringing out a white special edition 800. Not to my taste prefer the black but some may like it0
