I believe it's a reasonable read.

It's 174 pages long... any chance of a summary?

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

I wish I was twenty one now, too, but its nothing to do with cycling.

Took a trawl through it - seems to be a very holistic view of doping - not just the hows but the whys too. Lots of extracts from interviews and articles. It will be interesting if they cover the whole schoolyard justification of "I doped because the other boys (team, countries) are doing it. why are you picking on me?"

I have a suspicion that the content could have been delivered and analysed in half the space

Is this the document that is supposed to be the basis of the conference Flandis is attending?
'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'
  • Thanks for posting. It looks well worth reading.

Lots of interviews with Aussie pros about the lifestyle, doping etc. All the bits in italics are pretty good if you're skimming.

On a quick skim, highlights include:

Page 23 onwards has got some interesting bits about the AIS.

Good bit about different types of dopers - one Australian rider who got juiced up one year for a stellar result to get a big contract and then rode clean the rest of the time (page 65).

    Whereabouts trouble (page 74ish onwards)

The importance of having friends in the peloton (partic reference to Cadel not having enough) (after page 130).
