Looks great for a short-distance commuter/pub bike. Discuss!

You might get to the tops of hills before anyone else, but you're bloody slow with news. As are Cycling+ by the sounds of it.

Seen this a few months back. Hmmm.......nice in theory. In practice, well, I have my doubts. From a security point of view, great. But it's supposed to be steady and rigid when riding. That seems to me, as a layman, rather contradictory. Folders like my two, Brommies, etc, are more than rigid enough to ride quickly, comfortably and safely. If the hinges have problems, they're replaceable (as has been done on both Dahons). But what about Kevin Scott's brainwave? Can it work in practice brand new, let alone a few years down the line when it's had a load of wear and tear? And how much advantage, if any, would it actually give in the real world?
