Shimano 105 Front Mech

I've been trying to find the cheapest 105 Groupset online, and Merlin seem to win. Reading their description though for the component parts, next to the front mech it has 'Braze On' in brackets. Excuse my ignorance, but does this mean the frame needs to have a braze on on the seat tube to screw it in to?

Yes, if you don't have one you can get "braze on adaptors" which is simply a clamp with a plate to bolt the mech toHe is not the messiah, he is a very naughty boy !!0

Sorry if obvious comment - but make sure you are comparing like with like and getting the latest version of 105 (5700) rather than old stock being sold off cheaply.
