road shoes

hi everyone am after a bit of advice. bourght some road shoes from aldi other day but when i got them home they dont fit my spd sl cleats. these shoes have 2 slots in the sole with 4 small bolts. wondered if there was an adapter plate i cud fit. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

  • Sounds like you've bought spd shoes as opposed to sl.

    I haven't heard of adapter plates between the two but if aldi sell spd sl shoes you could probably ask for a exchange, i don't know what the aldi cycling range is like though.

  • The Aldi ones are SPD, looked at them myself.

    those shoes are not compatible with three-bolt cleats - simple as. Return them, give them away or bin them and look for the correct shoes from another source....

  • Or buy an another bike and fit SPD pedals to them! Far more sensible option. :D
