Sounds like bearings in either the bb or pedals

or chain rubbing on front mech cage?

Does it do this in all gears and does it do it when free wheeling?
  • bizzarly enough i only noticed it after i cleaned and re lubed everythin, i was thinkin there might be a little bit of grit somewhere causing havoc lol but cant see visually

Have you changed some part of the drivetrain recently? Sounds a bit like what you get when you put a new chain on worn rings or cassette.
  • i cleaned the chain with de greaser and re oiled it but i dont know if the oil i used was too thin and its got dirt caught up, it sounds like a gritty rubbing sound, its really hard to describe lol so appologies if it all sounds like bol**x lol
