Been there today (all the way from the Isle of Man) and it's great fun!
The link up from the top of Lee Quarry over to Cragg certainly needs some work though. The small amount of rain we've had lately, mixed with the volume of traffic using it seems to have turned bits of it into the somme. Obviously, it's no an official link yet, so you can't really hold it against them.
Still well worth the trip though0 -

The lime green one is a On One 456 as far as I can see - not sure on the other though!0

Heading up at the weekend for first time - any tips on which order to ride the two quarries and where to park to make the most enjoyable route - understand there are two access points?
Thanking you in advance0 -
Park at Futures Park below Lee Quarry. It's a major climb up to Cragg quarry from the valley bottom. Just be aware the linking route isn't in place yet so you'll have to make your own wya between the quarries. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
I've bought a new bike....ouch - result
Can I buy a new bike?...No - no result0 -
Mr Lewis the Brown bike is mine and it's a Giant Yukon Trail 2007 hardtail.
Only the frame is original. It now has hanging off it - Rockshox Reba Race forks, Avid Elixir r brakes, SLX/XT transmission, Hope hoops wheelset (pro 2 hubs and mavic 521 rims), Highroller tyre front, nevegal tyre rear, Easton EA50 seatpost, monkeylite DH carbon handlebars, Wellgo MG-1 flat pedals and few little bits of gold Hope bling.
I find it a great fairly lightweight all mountain bike. Fast at descending and climbing. I'll have to get some pics up!0
