Stem Qustion

Was reading a topic, where someone was looking at a carbon Stem, and problems with them snapping etc. I'm just wondering if this stem would have a similar problem?

It's discounted and trying to finish my build I'm not just looking at things to make it look nice
Thank you

It's not that they snap, just that they aren't worth the money - alu ones are cheaper and lighter. Though that is effectively alloy, just with a tiken carbon face plate.0

Ah ok, Yeah these one's aren't a bad price and I think the carbon plate is a nice bit of design.0

looks nice.
I am 100% against carbon stems, but that isn't a carbon stem, so go for it.Why would I care about 150g of bike weight, I just ate 400g of cookies while reading this?0 -
Yeah I agree, read few posts bout people getting their faces smashed in because they've got crack, Just think the carbon on these is a real nice touch and looks quite nice.0

A large proportion of stem failures I see though are.... the face plate ;-).0
