Any idea why he felt the need to nick the points in the KOM yesterday and then do a clenched fist victory thing ?

He's not in the KOM classification - none of Sky are - I think ? So why mess round with a competition you have no interest in ? I thought that was considered bad form ?

Wondered the same thing myself, doubt Hoogerland was happy! Maybe Richie Porte is joining Sky so they were doing him a favour  I think he was just doing a bit of playing to the crowd but it was poorly judged.
  • I just watched the stage.
Either that was a truly embarrassing gesture after a token effort, or else Bradley was making a jest, in his own, unique fashion.
    I found it cringe worthy.

wiggins comes across as more of a prick the more coverage he gets

  • It reminded me of the Tim Henman "weak fist" gesture that he always did when he won a point.

Perhaps he was just trying to demonstrate to Hoogerland that he was the better climber despite the lack of a polka-dot jersey.

I have been most impressed with the VS team in this Tour.

VS are always good, especially at either end of the year.

Hopefully now we'll see a few more posters whinging about a lack of VS selection in the Tour next year* :P

I think a lot of people whinged about that this year. They are one of the most aggresive teams out there. Not sure their latest recruit is going to be a positive (no pun intended) in getting future GT invites though.
