Am I mad?

Does it even count as a tour?

Has anyone else completed this?

Hints and tips appreciated. Its in less than a month & nothing is booked, except the other 3-4 riders coming. Names for any cheap hostels in Paris that are bike friendly much appreciated!

  • Picked my girlfriend up from King's X on Sunday having completed L2P. Her group left Wednesday and got there Saturday. Three other guys stole their thunder a bit by doing it in 22 hours! That said, it was the Newhaven Dieppe route, rather than Calais. So yes, it is possible. Just saw them and their bikes at the station - in terms of gear, i think one of them had a large-iush saddle bag, another might have had a very small and light back back, but not sure.

I think they cycled through the night, intending to get the first ferry in the morning, then on to Paris the next day.

    Sounds like a good challenge.

Been weighing up the Dieppe vs Calais, thinking of taking on the longer ride at 250 miles. Luckily we all have the gear etc, road bikes with pannier set ups.

hmmm but may still consider the Dieppe route and make it a bit more of a fun ride!
