Fork advice please

Hello,
Just getting some advice/opinions/experience please. I'm looking at getting an Orange ST4 pro in the sale. It comes with Rockshox Recons, which i'm not that impressed with. The store have said I can upgrade to some Fox Talas R 2010 forks with adjustable travel (100-120-140) but no lock out for about £230, or some 2009 Fox f120RLC for about £300. What do you think? Upgrade or not, and if so which ones?
Any help really appreciated,
Ben (no longer Kulaben as some tw@t nicked it)

Have you tried the Recons?0

which Recons?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

They're the Recon 351s, and they're a bit scuffed. Had them on my Kula (did I mention some evil monkey has had this away in the night, scum, scum, scum) and they were ok, but I think they let the rest of the bike down somewhat, and something lighter would be good.0

The F120s will be smoother and plusher, and probably easier to live with, while the Talas gives you bigger travel and options. The lockout I find is rarely used, but the option of a compression adjuster would definitely appeal to me.A Flock of Birds

The other option in the store is a set of 2010Reba Team Air U-turns for the same price as the Fox F120s. Any thoughts would be really useful, thanks,
