Another spd/shoe/cleat question .

Just bought some cheap spd shoes from aldi for £20 ,i am going to get some shimano m520 pedals ,also £20 ,as i just want to see if i can get on with them before spending a fortune.my question is -should the shoes come with cleats becaue they didnt,,or,will the pedals come with them? or d i have to buy the cleats seperately and are they shoe/pedal specific????????? :?: thanks.
