Specialized or Boardman?

with £1000 to spend on an XC bike should i get myself an exhire Specialized Stumpjumper HT Comp or a new boardman pro hardtail? what do you guys think? is 90mm a little too small amount of sus on the forks?

    I bought the Boardman HT Pro Ltd Ed back in Aug and although I love it, I bought myself a 2nd hand FS frame (04 Specialised Enduro Expert) as a winter project to work on... I've just however migrated all the components from the Boardman onto the S.. :D
