There are lots of posts about which tyre we use, but does it matter what inner tube you use?

There will be plenty of opinions on this, but I tend to just buy mulitpacks of Vitoria's from Wiggle. They've done me fine for the last few years.0

If you use a 'branded' ones like Michelin, Vittoria, Continental etc you'll be guaranteed reliability. Some people use lightweight/latex ones for racing, it can give better 'feel' with lightweight tyres - the downside is reduced puncture resistance and increased cost. I generally use heavier weight ones for training - the rubber is thicker and more puncture resistant.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

yes I've got them on my tourer. They do wear a far bit more than standard tubes of course, plus goo is one side so it's wobbly until it spreads around (maybe 30 seconds of riding or so) But for a work bike, it's worth it.Say... That's a nice bike..

Wasn't there a time, back in the day when everyone trusted in Reynolds 531 and tubulars, that all tubes were latex? Then they decided to make them out of butyl because there was more money to be made? I use smooth Michelin Latex A1 tubes inside my Panaracer Evo 3's and it sure feels as smooth as the Conti Supersonics I used last year - and they haven't let me down unlike the paper-thin Conti's.
Try latex, you won't be disappointed
