La Vuelta stage 18 **spoiler**
all fairly steady - a group of 8 have 2 minutes on the pack with 70 kms to go - a flat finish - wouldnt it be good for a Missile finish again?

Hushovd and Bos both DNS for Cérvelo, leaving them with only 4 riders left. Bos crashed into a motorbike in the TT yesterday. Zabriskie abandoned too.0

a bit of a tangle in the pack - one of the FDJ struggling to get a new bike and lost loads of time
Cazeau - knee injury - he is back on but a long lonely ride aheadhttp://veloviewer.com/SigImage.php?a=3370a&r=3&c=5&u=M&g=p&f=abcdefghij&z=a.png

what were Quickstep doing? - exploded at 900m and the lead out team lost everyone, then had to easy up - and they were all left looking at each other - a real finger wagging session in that team after the line0

He didn't say that in the post-race interview. He instead mentioned how much great work HTC and Garmin has done together to pull the break back.0 -

He said it the other day. Not today.0 -
Thought he'd gone too early and Haedo looked like he would come around but Cav seems to have that ability to go again and hold it. Will be fun to see him take on Greipel next season though, I think Greipel may get the better of him on the completely flat and straight finishes occassionally but it will be interesting to see.0

Cav's post-race interview was a classic - he relived every second of the last 25km - value for money compared to the sort of "Yes, it's a good win for me and I'd like to thank my teammates" typical response.0

He's maturing well in his interviews and his general attitude, still very self confident but he's less brash now and developing into a better talker. I know it divides people but I like him, and think that as a sportsman you can gety away with being cocky if you're good enough...I suppose in that sense (and that sense only) you could compare him to Brian Clough or Jose Mourinho.
20+ GT stage wins and a monument by the age of 25, even the most hardened anti cav brigade members can't argue that that's not impressive!
The only thing I really don't like about him is that my Mrs fancies him!!"I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0 -
